Ayurveda and the Sacred Art of Mehendi

Celebrate your Inner Goddess! Mehendi is the art of applying sacred “Yantras” or designs onto the hands and feet with a paste made from the powdered leaves of the Henna plant. Once the paste is applied, it is left on the skin for 6-8 hours and, when it is washed off, it leaves behind a beautiful, dark burgundy stain that lasts 1-2 weeks. As the Henna paste dries and it’s dying properties sink into the skin, it carries with it the sacred blessings and intentions of the Yantras that have been applied, infusing them deep into the soul.

In this workshop, we will explore the ancient art of Mehendi while learning about the philosophy and practice of Ayurveda and Sadhana (the art of cultivating consciousness and inner knowledge through all we do). Instructor: Kimberly Loeb. Visit her online at innercirclehealingarts.com.
