Yin Yoga explores postures in a more passive receptive way. Postures are explored for up to 5 minutes allowing the body to slowly open and the mind to calm. This way of practicing puts gentle pressure on the connective tissue and the more subtle meridian system allowing for greater flexibility and energy flow. Mindfulness techniques, readings and quotes gently inspire the class.
As a yoga alliance certified instructor and a registered acupuncturist Jennifer weaves her diverse interests in nutrition, mindfulness and Traditional Chinese Medicine into her classes. She has completed her Yin Yoga teacher training with Sarah Powers and continues to expand her studies with many incredible teachers at the Insight Yoga Institute and Spirit Rock meditation centre.
