Diploma of Yogatherapy – Pacific Rim College

Diploma of Yogatherapy – Jan 3, 2012 (YA500-pending + IAYT)

Application deadline is coming on Nov. 30th. This is a unique opportunity to participate in the first diploma of its kind in North America. This is a 1270-hr college accredited program, includes yoga teacher training (YA200 + YA500-pending). The program is a wonderful synthesis of Eastern energetic medicine and Western knowledge. The instructors are very excited to be working together and co-creating the curriculum, wanting to offer you an integrated and well-woven experience. The practices of breath, cultivating focus and awareness through meditation and lifestyle, and the application of the eastern understandings of health, well-being and disease all work together to create a model of yoga that is both therapeutic as well as enriching.

Students integrate Yogic practice and philosophy with study and application of somatic and transpersonal psychology and applied counselling skills. Additionally, students gain in-depth skills in Eastern and Western anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, and movement rehabilitation. Three elective workshops taught by a faculty with international experience allow students to specialize in particular therapeutic approaches and to gain exposure to various areas of Yogatherapy.
