In this workshop we will dive deeper into the liberating power of mindfulness. Mindfulness is an ancient practice that has made advances in medicine, psychotherapy, palliative care and correctional institutions. Meditation is a proven method of liberating ourselves from the endless cycle of obsessive thinking and worry.
Through this practice we awaken to our own strength of being, our own integrity and the greatness of our heart. As we develop our practice we become more honest, more open and more loving. When we can meet each situation with a kind and tender heart, our lives naturally become rich with meaning. We will practice Yoga between short meditation periods to stretch, and open the body.
All levels welcome. Ocean has been teaching Yoga since 2001. Her gift is her ability to bring the psycho-spiritual aspects of Yoga alive–making them meaningful and relevant to the challenges our modern lives. Ocean started practicing Tibetan Buddhism in 2001. The benefits of both these practices are transformative and profound. Ocean combines the wisdom of both these traditions into her clinical practice as a counsellor.
